For sarcasm, just saying (sarcasm) and being blunt about it could work.

I live in Pelham Hills, so I'm never really gone very far. I moved back into the dorms yesterday. And my summer was fine, if you ignore the constant bickering of my siblings. How was yours?

Boring. I didn't know you lived so close. We should have gotten together some time, could have gotten you away from your family. I was mostly stuck here taking summer classes. Not cause I was behind, just to have something to do.

I worked some in my parents' shop, which got me away from Rhys and Seren quite a bit. Luckily, Rhys is still too young or he would have wanted in, too. Although technically if it's a family-owned business I don't think child labor laws apply. But that's neither here nor there, is it?

I'm not sure yet how this year is shaping up. I'll be running for head of the student council, and I expect I'll win. It's not as if I have competition.
