Old Race: Seer/precognition; She uses tarot and prefers the 3 card spread. She never dose readings for herself or that would include her in the outcome. Every time she makes a reading with her in it, it ends up with her being hurt or humiliated. Other readings are normal and vague like most seer results, and are often seen as true in retrospect. Her powers would get stronger and more controlled if she could get past her fear of them.

Family: parents: Janice and John Cole, two sisters, Alice (11) and Susan (7) (all alive and living in Miami, FL; none are Old Races)

History: Mr. and Mrs. Cole had no idea what to do when little Cass started guessing what problems her parents would end up having everyday. In retrospect, naming her Cassandra was a bit ironic. Her parents were more than happy to send her off to Pelham Place when they asked (at the age of 6). They were also very happy to take the government stipend. By the time Cass was 9 they had signed over custodial rights to Evelyn Waters and Pelham Place. Cass didn't find out until she was 12, and really hasn't had much contact at all with her family. Alice and her email occasionally, but her parents and Sue find her freaky.
Around the same time as her parents started to drift away, her visions started to backlash. Any time she did a tarot reading about herself, some injury or humiliation was part of the outcome. And then it came true. It is now known yet if she is just that unlucky, or if she is subconsciously making the accidents happen.
Recently she has joined Cowlyn's circle of admirers. While he doesn't exactly treat her as a close friend, any attention by a cute boy is important to her. She has started to do more readings for him and his future, and they tend to end up positive. She is beginning to embrace her namesake and secretly wants to set up her enemies (and family) to fall. But first she needs to get a precedent of being a reliable seer.

Potentials: Cass will be a part of Cowlyn's group, and in any of those plots. She plans to cozy up to her teachers, who until now would have thought of her as antisocial and withdrawn. She wants to be accepted and acquire favorable impressions.
This last summer she decided to do a reading for herself, thinking that her friendship with Cowlyn would blossom into something romantic. Instead she foresaw her own death, which will happen this upcoming winter. She redid the reading a few times, same result. She hasn't told anyone, and as her time becomes short, will get more frantic to find people to help her. I have not decided if the death will happen. it's a ways off and we can work that out.

Appearance: She has pale skin, short/choppy hair, normally died black from her original brown. She is usually quiet and withdrawn, trying to fade into the crowd. Her goth/punk look can make her stand out, if she didn't hang out with other similar minded folks.
